My country

Its been some time since I've had the chance speak in this manner and a lot has happened in this country since than. Unfortunately for us most of it hasn't been very beneficial and that includes our horrendous foreign policy, a deficit beyond imagine and an economy that this president has utterly destroyed. As a proud American I am astounded and embarrassed at the conduct of our elected leaders and there constant disregard for what we want and the hypocrisy the show. They constantly preach to us about how we should live, what we should eat, where we can smoke, what kind of car we should drive and now they what to tell us what kind of healthcare we should have. These are people who believe themselves above us, who believe that the rules of this country don't apply to them. Just look at who our "illustrious leader" has appointed to help him "fix" this economy, the tax cheat now in charge over at the IRS, not to mention all the other appointees that have had the same problem. For those of you who don't know me I live in Minnesota, a bastion of liberalism if ever there was one, I know first hand what this insanity can do and how hard it is to reverse the equally insane legislation. Only our knowledge and intelligence can be used in this fight, force does nothing and besides that we are not there yet and hopefully we never will be. I challenge all those to read the constitution and think deep about the words written on that document and ask yourself "do my leaders believe in those words?". Sadly I like you believe that most of them do not and it is our responsibility to elect people who do. We can not and will not stop till this is done.

And when people cry out for Uncle Sam's help - such as the poor bloody Iranians - why, the Big Guy just rolls himself a fat one and turns up the Jefferson Airplane on his Ipod.

Good luck with the blogging RWG.
